A few ways that people tempt customers into their store and buy their business is through signage.

If you have a store, a few sign elements you may need to invest in are:

  • Pavement boards
  • Health and safety signage
  • Magnetic signage

Let’s break them down.

Pavement boards

These are A-frame signs that usually stand outside of your store.

Often, they act as a way to pull in customers off of the street; this may be done through a funny greeting, an incentive, or an on-brand memo.

A-frame signs are great because they’re closer to your potential customer, and are typically seen more frequently than the store sign is. Another perk with A-frames is that you can easily change the content within the frame – so, for example, if you were offering a seasonal sale then you may be able to change the content depending on the season or size of the discount you’re willing to offer.


Health and safety signage

Every store needs health and safety signage.

This protects you from any accidental incidents that may crop up in your store.

A few examples of this are:

  • ‘Wet floor’ signs
  • ‘No entry’ signs
  • ‘For staff use only’ sign

By having these signs clearly displayed around your store, you’re protecting yourself from any legal issues; as well as protecting your clients and staff members.

Magnetic signage

If your store makes deliveries then magnetic signs are a must.

The option to remove or apply your car graphic whenever you need to is fundamental to any new business who can’t yet invest in a company car.

However, magnetic signage is also used beyond vehicle graphics. They’re also used for doorways, offices, and more.

All these little elements of signage will compound and give you the edge and professionalism to draw your customers in.
