Whether that’s technology, food, hygiene, laws, or something else entirely. Growth and innovation is an inevitable part of the new year turning point. When it comes to sign making, however, that growth is a little less rapid and a little more obvious.

As such, we wanted to share our predictions for the growing trends currently appearing in the sign making world.

AI and Holographic Signage

Now, we don’t mean walking and talking signage. But as we advance in technology, the more we see that everyday signage is advancing too. With simple changes being made like the shape of signs, optical illusions being used, and colouring, many businesses have realised that an easy way for their sign to stand out is to give it a 3D edge.

While it isn’t quite like the AI technology or holograms that we’re slowly seeing appear on the internet, this type of signage use is becoming more common and more creative. Further adding depth and interaction with everyday signs – we’re sure to see more creative ways to stand out.

Interactive Signage

Posters, leaflets, vehicle signs, it’s typical that regardless of the sign there is usually some sort of call to action.

Whether it’s to ‘contact’ someone or to ‘get in touch’, a sign helps bridge the gap between you and your consumer. However, in 2022, we expect that signs may begin to take this one step further and truly address the audience head on.

Whether it’s direct language to the client on the leaflet or a more informative approach, we believe that speaking to your client could be a popular and easy way to spice up your signage.

Technological Signage

Although we sell these ourselves, so there may be a slight bias, we believe that we may see a surge in signs that have a technological or electrical focus.
